Daddy Flies {Guest Post}

Brye, the author of “Daddy Flies”, is here to share her story and introduce her oh so adorable children’s book!

Even though the book is written by a military spouse, for military kids, I think this adorable book is great for all children!

After 12 years of being a military wife, I’ve learned that the Air Force may tell us where to go, when, and for how long, but that doesn’t mean that my life’s goals have to wait until my husband’s military retirement.

His dream was to become a pilot. He is. My dream was to become a book author. As of last week, I am.

Rather than allowing the military and its challenges be an excuse, I made them my inspiration. I wrote children’s book called “Daddy Flies,” specifically for the military child. It is a 32-page, full color illustrated book with rhyming prose. And it has just been listed on Amazon.com.

Now, when my children excitedly tell people that “daddy flies,” they also mention “mama writes books!”

Both my husband’s dream and my dream have come true.

About The Book

“Daddy Flies” is a children’s book for 2-5 year olds about a smart girl named Katie, who uses her little-kid logic to figure out what her dad does at work every day. Follow along with Katie! Her predicament is believable for children and amusing for parents. “Daddy Flies” is written by a military spouse, for military children. It’s 32 pages with full color illustrations and rhyming prose.
