DIY Galaxy Sky Painting {Guest Post}

DIY: 3 Steps to Creating a Galaxy Sky, Without Dotting A Star!

My name is Caroline Bogush and I am an artist living in New Jersey, just outside of New York City.  This summer I attended a class at the best art schools in the world, The School of Visual Arts.  I am guest blogging here on An Aiming High Wife to share the easiest and fastest way to create a galaxy!  It is so easy because larger brushes are used as well as a splattering technique.  In the past, I have used this technique to create works shown below.

I even used this technique to create sand!

I plan on using this technique to create a baby plaque for a friend.  The baby is due in December and the mama loves astrology so I will create the image below!

Not only is creating your DIY galaxy easy and fun it also makes for a wonderful kid friendly activity! Have your little ones create their very own galaxy they can name themselves. If your looking to add an extra piece of fun to the activity have you little one’s create their very own constellations by connecting some of their starts to make fun shapes!

For all you homeschooling mommies out there this artistic project is a fun to pair with any space lesson for kids of all ages!

We want to know…How you enjoyed creating your galaxy and if you created it for something special! Also please share your finish work on Instagram or Facebook and tag us @anaiminghighwife and @carolinebogush!
