Welcome to my first ever Chopped Inspired Challenge!
The bloggers brave enough to take on my chopped challenge were split into random groups of four. Each blogger contributed one mystery ingredient. There were no time limits to creating the dishes and everyone could choose what kind of dish they wanted to make.
For those who haven’t watched Chopped on Food Network, four chefs compete by preparing five star dishes focusing on the mystery ingredients that are supplied to them in their baskets. Once they open their baskets they have a set amount of time to transform everyday and crazy ingredients into a delicious cohesive dish. The challenge is a total of 3 rounds, appetizer, entree and dessert and at the end of each round a panel of judges “chops” one of the chefs and only the remaining chefs move on to the next round.
Now for our chopped inspired challenge, the rules and results are different but the concept is the same. Each group of bloggers was given a list of four “mystery” ingredients and were challenged to create a fun and unique recipe focusing on those ingredients. Since this is for fun, we will not be “chopping” any bloggers, however everyone will have the option to vote for their favorite recipes!
